Edwards Beach

Moses Edwards purchased the land in 1867 and for many years leased it to the YMCA, which ran Nabnasset Camp in summer. In the mid 20th century, the Edwards family ran it as a private beach facility. The town of Westford purchased the property in 1980 from Sumner and Grace Edwards, and the Parks and Recreation Department today manages the public beach.
Ronan McElligott Memorial Playground is a play space constructed in 2009 for children of all abilities. Its namesake is a child who died in infancy from Leigh’s disease.

The trail network provides off-street access to the beach and playground for the neighborhood, as well as a pleasant way to seek shade. All the trails are flat, with easy footing.
