The school gardens were designed by Evan Abramson of Landscape Interactions and plantings were researched and recommended by Dr. Robert Gegear. The site was installed in September 2020 and includes 3 areas for a near total of 6000 sq ft and includes more than 600 plantings installed by more than 60 volunteers. The gardens are part of the larger “Lincoln Pollinator Action Plan: Planting the Way for Biodiversity and Climate Resilience”. Click here to read through the Garden & Lawn Toolkit at Birches School.
