Springtime at O’Brien Farm

Join Gerry DiBello for a walk at the historic O’Brien farmstead on Vose Rd. The trail leads through woods and fields, by a pond and wetlands, where birds abound. O’Brien Farm has been permanently preserved by owner Charlie McColough. The farm has been owned by four generations of the O’Brien Family since 1886 with a 19th century barn, classic rock walls, and a streetscape reminiscent of the 1880s, the property is also an historic treasure. In 2013, 23 acres of the private land was protected under a conservation restriction held jointly by the Town of Westford and the Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT).

Walking is mostly flat and easy. Park at the farm or along the road in front. Folks can also park along Steeplechase Circle if needed. There will be a short talk about the farm’s history by Mr McColough. For more information, call Gerry at: 978-692-9137
