RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENCE

Presented to Trust President Ron Gemma – December 2020

As some of you may know, Ron Gemma’s current term as Westford Conservation Trust president has recently come to a close. He will still be on the board but moving to the Vice President position where he will mentor and support our new president Dave Ebitson.

We just wanted to express our sincere gratitude for Ron’s outstanding leadership, dedication and years of loyal service as President of the trust. We accomplished a lot during his tenure!

Ron has been in this position for 8 years, starting in 2012. He was instrumental in starting our Invasives program specifically for Mile a Minute when it was first discovered at Laughton Farms. Over his tenure, he has shown true leadership for multiple open space protection campaigns, eagle scout mentorships, water quality participation and support, public outreach, guided walks leader on our many trails, trail maintenance, attending many town board meetings as needed, land management and acquisition and ensuring a clear communication channel with conservation entities such as our town Conservation Resource planner, SVT, SUASCO CISMA and many more.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to Ron for this incredible accomplishment!
